I am pleased to report that at the ICC in Birmingham at the Festival Dinner the final total of our 2011 appeal for Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys was revealed. Our PGM had originally set the province a goal of achieving in excess of £1m for the appeal but when the final total was announced at £1,621,926 the hall buzzed with excitement which made all Worcestershire Masons present feel extremely proud. But your Worshipful Master’s chest really swelled with pride when they read out the names of the three highest donating lodges in the Province in reverse order finishing with Elmley Castle being the highest donating lodge in the province with £35,866.
This magnificent sum of £35,866 could not have been achieved without the generosity of the members of the lodge in not only their donations but their time and effort to run events such as train trips, walks, raffles and auctions that contributed so much to our overall total.
As members of Elmley Castle Lodge and we can all feel justly proud of this achievement and with the other Evesham Lodges also being in the top percentile of lodges in the Province. Collectively as Evesham Masons we have given in excess of £71500 to this appeal which is a truly magnificent result.
My heartfelt thanks to everyone who has done so much over the last 5 years to help achieve this total which we can all feel immensely proud of.

May I be the first to add my Congratulations to all the Brethren of the Lodge who helped to bring this magnificent sum about and especially to W Bro Harper who led , bullied, cajolled the members of the Lodge to get us first past the post.
I hope that his and your achievements are noticed and recognised in higher places.
